thanks, that makes good sense, but Alt-K's option is labelled "Tagged Files". In dir mode it's showing tagged dirs.

Perhaps the option should be relabelled "Tagged files/dirs", or a third "Tagged dirs" option be added. Then dir mode would have to show totals for tagged files or for tagged dirs as per the option.

Showing totals for tagged files in dir mode isn't illogical. The total of the tagged files can be seen as a property of a directory just as the total of all files is currently seen.
