I'm not sure if from my previous post you would have realised that the ultimate meaning of cactus is dead.

Another form of the word is cark as in "He carked it" = "He died".

I've had some fun reading the book below that other Ockers might enjoy. There are some real doozies - Oh no. More slang expressions.
