Why don't I? Because I'm not competent with it. Is there full documentation for it, or do I first have to learn how to use it's self documenting features?
I often use it to do stuff with Exchange and Office 365, and Veeam too. I always have to hunt for examples, and when they don't do exactly what I want, I often struggle to work it out. One day I'll sit down and learn it properly.
I liked this example from the comments on the article:
CMD: dir /od
PS: Get-ChildItem | Sort-Object -Property LastWriteTime
If I'm scheduling scripts to run regularly, there seem to be tricks required to make powershell scripts even run at all, to get around the security. I'm sure there are good reasons for that, but it's another thing to learn.
