Interesting page good content but poor layout. Without the bunch of scripts it rather looks like a ftp directory with some text fillings.
I notice more and more web pages using more and more scripts relating to other (sometimes unknown sometimes well known and unwanted) domains and external fonts et al.
I do not Know if the programmers are unskilled, lazy or mean, but it makes it harder to protect against malicious web pages.
Just my point of view.
