Most of my .zls files just contain T= lines
These work provided you use full paths or wildcards.

Actually I agree. I don't see what was wrong with the original syntax.
If it improved efficiency this would be good, but I never had any problem before.
I suggested C= to overcome the problem introduced by the new syntax, although I think it could be worthwhile anyway (I sometimes included a L= at the end to force a directory to be current).
Many of my .zls no longer work the way I want, and I will have to go back and edit them, but I will wait until the current round settles down.
